Highlights from The Birds of Paradise World Tour part deux

It’s been a busy couple months here at Con Brio headquarters -we’re currently writing from Utrecht, Netherlands, where the people are tall and beautiful and where, in a few hours, we’ll be playing our last show of a whirlwind international tour.

A few highlights from our second trip of the year to Europe and Japan, in no particular order:

In Japan, Smashing Mag wrote this lovely review of our show at Shibuya Duo Exchange.

In Paris, we appeared live on Quotidien avec Yann Barthesa late-night show with 1.2 million viewers, and filmed a set for Album of the Week on CANAL+, where we got to share the stage with indie-rock vets Nada Surf (we’ll share that when it’s out in January!).

We played to one of our biggest crowds yet at the Trans Musicales festival in Rennes, France, where Télérama named us one of the best four acts of the whole five-day fest.

The Netherlands have been incredibly kind to us as well: We played big shows in Amsterdam, Nijmegen, Groningen, Rotterdam, and Utrecht. In Amsterdam we appeared on VPRO Vrije Geluiden. And here’s a live session we did on the radio show Live uit Lloyd in Rotterdam.

We also ate a ton of frites and cheese sandwiches and stroopwafels. We like it here. Thanks for everything. We’re looking forward to a few weeks off at home now, but trust us: We’ll be back.
